Callum Whelan will be out of action for the immediate future through injury.
The midfielder has sustained a grade three thigh injury following an appearance on the opening day against Boreham Wood, and is expected to miss eight to ten weeks whilst undergoing rehabilitation.
“It’s devastating for us, but more devastating for Whelo,” said assistant manager, Ian Watson.
“He’s a real special footballer, there aren’t many players around like him.
“We’ve got to support him and be around him, he’s an unbelievable lad to have around the group so we need to get him around the group as much as we can.”
