Gateshead Football Club are delighted to announce that Holly Orr has signed for Gateshead Ladies.
“I’m excited to start this new season with the girls and they’re such a lovely bunch of individuals,” said Orr.
“The coaching staff seem incredible as well so it’s just really exciting to get it going!
“This season I want to make sure that I’m consistently performing to the best of my ability, hopefully get myself on the score sheet a few times over the season and also just gel with the team and help them out as much as I possibly can.
“I want to win the league with this team, I think it’s time that this team and club pushes onto that goal and hopefully we can accomplish this, this season. I really think we deserve to win it. I have friends who play for this team and who have played for Gateshead in the past so it would be great to see us win the league.
“I attended all of the open sessions and the girls were so welcoming, everyone got on extremely well, it was relaxing and we could have a laugh but it was also competitive at the same time which was great.
“I know Carl and Hugo are very hardworking and they want to get things right this season, they are highly focused on this team and they really do put all their energy into the squad and the sessions.
“Working with Carl and Hugo for this upcoming season, I know they can help me a lot and help me find areas of improvement such as defensive positioning and tactics.”
