Tyne Bank Brewery is brewing up a storm at Gateshead FC!
In case you missed the memo – Tyne Bank Brewery, one of Britain’s fastest-growing beer companies is an official club partner, meaning thirst-quenching quality local beers are available for all Gateshead FC supporters!
Formed in 2011 by Julia Austin, a member of Newcastle University’s alumni and a chemical engineer, this local brewery is at the forefront of the vibrant North East beer scene.
The award-winning microbrewery and taproom has become an increasingly popular North East destination and since 2016 has been situated in a victorian warehouse on Walker Road in Byker, offering clientele sixteen taps and eight cask lines of stouts, blondes, pale ales and porters.
Combining “local passion with global reach”, the brewery prides itself on the beers’ depth of flavour and the versatility of products available to enjoy.
The taproom hosts a number of fun events on a regular basis, including open mic nights, comedy nights, dog socials, movie nights and even a Bob Ross ‘Joy of Painting’ night, where visitors can brush up on their painting skills over a beer with friends. The tap room can comfortably sit up to 100 visitors and boasts a designated car park as well as a stage and PA facilities, making it an ideal venue for hosting events near the River Tyne. The venue also has close relationships with a number of local food suppliers, offering pizzas, burgers and other North East delicacies that can be savoured with a pint.
Having supported Gateshead FC since 2021, the brewery also hosted last year’s end-of-season awards ceremony, which was a hit amongst supporters.
Their tasty bottled beers are available to purchase on the concourse and in the hospitality suite on matchdays.
