Gateshead FC is delighted to confirm the signing of Curtis Edwards until the end of the 2025/26 season.
The central midfielder joins Alun Armstrong’s side after recently departing EFL League Two side Notts County, whom he made 18 appearances for after joining ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
A graduate of Middlesbrough’s academy as a youngster, the 31-year-old spent seven years playing in Sweden with Ytterhogdals IK, Östersund and Djurgården from 2015 to 2022 before joining Norwegian outfit Stabæk for a further two years.
Edwards returned to England with Woking midway through the 2023/24 season, making 17 appearances to help The Cardinals to National League survival during the latter half of the campaign.

“It’s a real coup for us,” said manager, Alun Armstrong.
“Curtis is a very, very good player with loads of experience and he should be playing higher. He’s watched us, he’s had a good look at the squad we’ve got and he thinks he can help massively.
“It’s a real plus for us to have that experience, and once we get him, Butts [Jacob Butterfield] and Ty [Tyrelle Newton] back in there I think we’ll see a different team altogether.”
Welcome to Gateshead, Curtis!
