Gateshead FC is delighted to confirm the signing of Brandon Haunstrup.
The defender returns to Gateshead International Stadium on a one-year deal, with an optional one-year extension available at the club’s discretion, having previously spent a brief period on loan from Cambridge United during the final month of the 2023/24 season.
Haunstrup made his debut as a half-time substitute during the 2-1 win over Bromley on the final day of the Vanarama National League season, and re-joins The Heed after appearing as a trialist during the final fixture of pre-season against Farsley Celtic.
“[I was] really keen to get back in,” said Haunstrup.
“I had numerous conversations with Rob [Elliot] before my spell last season, and then in between last season and this off-season, and it was something I was really keen to get over the line.
“Being in and around the boys and the staff last season, there was a real feel-good factor in and around the club, and it’s definitely something I wanted to be a part of moving forward.”
