Callum Whelan has been recalled by parent club Solihull Moors for the final week of the season.
The midfielder made 13 appearances after making the temporary move to Gateshead International Stadium in February, starting all but one of Gateshead’s National League fixtures during that time.
Whelan formed a formidable partnership with fellow loanee Ed Francis in the heart of midfield as The Heed secured safety in the fifth tier, winning seven of his 13 games as a Gateshead player.
