Gateshead FC can confirm the signing of D’Mani Mellor on a short-term deal.
The forward arrives on Tyneside having most recently appeared for Rochdale in the Vanarama National League during the 2023/24 season, following spells with Sutton United and Wycombe Wanderers, and is eligible for inclusion in the match day squad against Yeovil Town on Saturday, August 24.
“D’Mani has come in to train, and I suppose on trial if you like,” said Rob Elliot.
“He’s someone who we think has got a lot of ability and who we like, so we wanted to have a look at him around the group.
“With the circumstances of the injuries, and the fact that we’ve got games in such quick succession, we just said would he be interested in signing a short-term deal so that if he was needed then that option is there.
“It probably helps in terms of him trying to impress and make a mark, but he’s a good lad and he knows a few of the boys so he’s fitting into the squad really well.
“D’mani is happy with it, we’re happy with it, and we’ll just take it day by day.”
