Our upcoming pre-season fixture at home to Doncaster Rovers has been cancelled due to issues with the playing surface at Gateshead International Stadium.
In order to allow work to start as soon as possible on the repairs required to the pitch at Gateshead International Stadium, the decision has been made to cancel the fixture at home to Doncaster following this weekend’s game against Sunderland switching venue to Hebburn Sports Ground.
We fully understand the inconvenience caused by this decision, which has been made to prioritise the work required so that the playing surface is in the best position in plenty of time for our season opener at home to Southend United on Saturday, August 9.
The fixture will now be played behind closed doors. All supporters who purchased tickets for the original fixture at Gateshead International Stadium will be automatically refunded, with refunds typically processed within five working days.
