Gateshead FC is delighted to confirm the loan signing of Ed Francis.
The midfielder becomes the latest recruit at Gateshead International Stadium, joining from fellow Vanarama National League side Notts County on a temporary basis until the end of the season.
The 23-year-old has spent the last two seasons with The Magpies, making 10 National League appearances and scoring once during the 2022/23 campaign, with his sole strike coming in Gateshead’s fixture at Meadow Lane in December.
Francis made 20 appearances in League Two for Harrogate Town prior to making the move to Notts, having previously appeared for Wolves and Manchester City’s academy sides at various age groups.
“I had some great recommendations from Macca and Ceds back at Notts, they only said good things,” said Francis.
“It’s about getting on the pitch and building up a bit of camaraderie with the lads and getting out of the relegation zone, that’s the main priority.”
