Our Isuzu FA Trophy fourth round fixture against Oldham Athletic will now be played at Boundary Park due to planned floodlight maintenance at Gateshead International Stadium.

Work approved by Gateshead Council to replace the stadium’s floodlight system is due to commence on Wednesday, January 4, in order to maintain the standards required by the National League’s ground grading system.

Maintenance on the first East Stand tower is due to be completed by Saturday, January 21, with work on the remaining three floodlight towers to be completed in accordance with the National League’s ground grading deadline of Friday, March 31.

The club initially proposed an earlier kick off time for our Isuzu FA Trophy fixture against Oldham Athletic to allow the game to still be played at Gateshead International Stadium, but this was unable to be agreed upon by both clubs.

As a result, the fixture has now been reversed in accordance with Isuzu FA Trophy rules and will now take place at Boundary Park on Saturday, January 14 (3pm kick off), with the game to go straight to penalties if needed if required after 90 minutes with this season’s competition regulations.

Tickets for the fixture will be sold by Oldham Athletic, with the gate receipts to be split 50/50 in accordance with Isuzu FA Trophy rules and regulations.
