Gateshead FC is delighted to confirm the loan signing of Plymouth Argyle forward Freddie Issaka until January 10, 2027.
The 20-year-old arrives at Gateshead International Stadium on temporary terms until after the New Year, bolstering The Heed’s attacking options having been deployed predominantly as a left winger or centre forward throughout his career so far.
He became Plymouth’s youngest ever player when he made his professional debut at the age of 15 years and 34 days in August 2021, coming on as a substitute in a 2-0 EFL Cup defeat to Newport County, and has now made a total of 40 appearances for the Green Army.

Issaka spent the first half of the 2025/26 season out on loan with EFL League Two side Bristol Rovers, playing nine times before joining Truro City in the Enterprise National League from February 13th onwards, appearing 15 times and scoring twice.
Welcome to Gateshead, Freddie!
Subject to National League & FA approval.
