Gateshead FC is pleased to confirm the appointment of Gary Bartlett as club doctor.
Gary joins the club following the departure of previous club doctor, Ross Floyd, who left his post on Tyneside for family reasons after working alongside the club for the past three seasons, and will provide medical attention to the first team alongside club physiotherapist Frazer Bell at home league fixtures in line with National League obligations.
A doctor with a specialist interest in sports medicine, Gary comes from a professional sporting background having competed internationally for Great Britain in snowboarding and joins the club with a wealth of experience.
Gary has completed a fellowship with Newcastle United, with whom he has spent the past 12 months working alongside the men’s first team, as well as The Magpies’ women’s and academy sides.
“I am super excited to come and work with Gateshead FC at a really exciting time for the club,” said Bartlett.
“I’m incredibly proud to work with a club that has such a passionate fan base, and I’m looking forward to seeing where next season takes us and what the club will achieve.”
Welcome to Gateshead, Gary!
