Gateshead FC can confirm a number of friendly dates for our 2025/26 pre-season schedule.
The Heed will kick off their warm ups for the new National League season with the annual short trip to Hebburn Town on Tuesday, July 8, with our 2024/25 pre-season opener ending 7-1 in Gateshead’s favour.
Gateshead will then play host to Premier League opposition in the form of newly promoted Sunderland at Gateshead International Stadium on Saturday, July 12, with Régis Le Bris preparing for their first season in the top flight of English football since the 2016/17 campaign, before welcoming EFL League One side Doncaster Rovers to Tyneside three days later
The Heed will continue their travels in the local non-league scene by facing Blyth Town – newly promoted to the Northern Premier League Division One East – on Saturday, July 19 before making the brief trip across Gateshead one week later to face Dunston UTS at The UTS Stadium.
Two further fixtures away from home against National League North opposition will round off Gateshead’s 2025/26 pre-season schedule, firstly in the form of 2025 FA Trophy runners up Spennymoor Town on Tuesday, July 29 before locking horns with Darlington on Saturday, August 2.
