Gateshead Soul member Hamish Boyd is in the final day of his fundraiser for The Salvation Army’s Christmas Appeal.
Nine-year-old Hamish set himself the challenge of running, rowing and cycling 70 miles from Nazareth to Bethlehem during advent to raise money for The Salvation Army’s Gateshead branch this Christmas, helping provide food and support to those in need during the festive period.
Hamish is now into the final 10 miles of his challenge and is set to complete his journey before Christmas Day, before heading to Boxing Day’s derby clash against Blyth Spartans with his family.
