Gateshead FC is delighted to confirm the signing of Jack Robinson on a one-year deal.
The defender joins the club until the end of the 2026/27 season following a successful trial period during pre-season, appearing against Blyth Town and Hebburn Town before putting pen to paper on permanent terms as a Gateshead player.
The 25-year-old most recently appeared for Hartlepool United during the latter half of the 2024/25 campaign, before injury kept him out of action during the 2025/26 season, and has previous National League experience during a loan spell at Yeovil Town whilst on the books at Middlesbrough in 2021/22.
Robinson was part of the Carlisle United squad which won promotion to League One via the League Two play-off final in 2023, and went on to play 23 games in the third tier the following season for The Blues.
“I’m delighted to be here, so far I’ve loved it,” said Robinson.
“I spoke to the gaffer on WhatsApp, arranged a meeting and had a good chat for a couple of hours about the plans for the season ahead, pre-season, getting minutes and training every day.
“I came in for the first couple of weeks as a trialist, then conversations happened pretty quickly over a deal and I was just looking forward to getting it sorted and getting started.
“I’ve had a tough time with an injury, but I’m really looking forward to getting a good season in me and pushing Gateshead on.”
