Gateshead Football Club is delighted to confirm the signing of Joe Grayson.
The 24-year-old – adept as both a defensive midfielder and centre back – arrives at Gateshead International Stadium on a deal until the end of the 2023/24 season after spending the summer as a free agent.
Grayson spent the first half of the 2022/23 campaign on loan at eventual Scottish Championship winners Dundee, making 17 appearances and scoring once, after playing 33 times across the 2021/22 season with League Two side Barrow.
“It’s been a long time coming trying to get the deal done,” said Grayson.
“I feel like I’ve settled in well, it’s a really good group.
“I got a really good feeling after speaking to Mike, Rob and Busted – I’m delighted to be here with good people to learn from and go forward.”
Grayson will wear shirt number 18 and is available for inclusion in the match day squad for Saturday’s fixture against Woking.
