Gateshead Ladies county cup run came to an end after a 3-1 defeat to Chester le street amazon women’s.
Carl Morrison reflects on the positives from yesterdays game “Firstly credit to Chester le street amazons, they thoroughly deserved the win. we know we could have done better”
The heed made seven changes from last weeks win over Norton and Stockton reserves and three players making their competitive debuts.
Morrison went on to say “A big positive in the match was Sharon Bell, I thought she had a very good game and got the assist also. Chloe Sharp had a very good game as stand in captain and Liv Black scored a very good goal which her performance deserved.”
The ladies also have the next round of the Women’s FA Cup and the league to look to.
“The season so far has been very good. We’ve been getting better with each passing game and there’s a great togetherness in this group of players, with plenty of room for optimism”
The ladies next match is the home Women’s FA cup fixture against Hartlepool Untied Women this Sunday.
