Gateshead FC is delighted to confirm the signing of Walsall striker Levi Amantchi on a free transfer until the end of the 2026/27 season, subject to FA and National League approval.
The North-East native arrives at Gateshead International Stadium after spending the opening half of the season on loan with Rochdale, starting twice in 14 league appearances.
The 25-year-old has racked up 32 games in League Two for both Bromley and Walsall since the beginning of the 2024/25 season, most notably scoring in the play-off semi-final for the latter against Chesterfield in their run to the final at Wembley Stadium.
“I spoke to Rob [Elliot] about his ambitions and how he wants to help the club, and that was suited to me,” said Amantchi.
“It’s good being back home mentally for me – hopefully I’ll get my northern accent back!
“It’s going to be tough, I think all the boys know that here, but I think everyone is willing to take the pressure on.”
Welcome to Gateshead, Levi!
