Storey, adept in both defence and midfield, arrives on a one-year deal from the Northern Premier League Division One East side and will combine playing duties with a coaching role alongside Mike Williamson and Ian Watson.

The 27-year-old captained the Hebburn Town squad during a hugely successful season for The Hornets, who lifted the 2019/20 Buildbase FA Vase in May and earned promotion from Northern League Division One.

Storey spent time with Newcastle United’s academy in his youth and made 72 appearances for South Shields prior to joining Hebburn in 2018, for whom he went on to appear 45 times, scoring seven goals.
