Luke Hannant has departed Gateshead FC following the expiration of his contract.
The wing-back leaves Gateshead International Stadium having made 144 appearances for the club across two separate spells, originally turning out in black and white from summer 2016 to January 2018 before returning to Tyneside in August 2023, where he made history by lifting the Isuzu FA Trophy at Wembley Stadium in the final game of the 2023/24 season.

Hannant was named as the Players’ Player of the Season and Supporters’ Player of the Season following a memorable 2024/25 campaign, which saw him score 16 goals and record 10 assists in 48 appearances across all competitions to end the season as the club’s top scorer, in addition to taking home the Goal of the Season award for his long-distance volley against Sutton United.
All at Gateshead FC would like to thank Luke for his efforts during his time on Tyneside, and wish him the best of luck in future.
