Gateshead FC is delighted to confirm the signing of Marcus Dinanga.
The striker arrives from fellow National League side Altrincham for an undisclosed fee, signing a deal until the end of the 2023/24 season at Gateshead International Stadium, with the option of a further year available at the club’s discretion.
The 25-year-old has netted seven goals for The Robins in all competitions this season, and enjoyed a hugely successful loan spell at National League South side Dartford last season where he scored 13 goals in 16 league games.
“We’re delighted to get Marcus in,” said assistant manager, Ian Watson.
“He’s a proven goal scorer, he’s caused us real problems when we’ve played against him and every reference we had on him said he was a great lad so he’s someone we think will fit into the squad straight away.
“It was important that we got someone in as soon as possible once Danny [Elliott] had gone back to keep the momentum that we’ve created, and once Marcus became available we didn’t hesitate to do everything we could to get him to Gateshead.”
Welcome to Tyneside, Marcus!
