Consett came out the starting blocks with a strong chance in the opening minutes with a ball fired directly across the face of goal but no one on the end to tap it in.
After numerous Consett threats Gateshead took there first chance and converted when Charlotte Hoganson slotted a beautiful ball through to Liv Black who’s strike beat the keeper at the near post.
Gateshead piled on a few chances after with an ambitious Amy Richardson volley which almost beat the opposition goalkeeper.
In the 34th minute Consett found there equaliser when a tap in header at the far post caught the heed taking it level at the break.
Just nine minutes into the second half Consett found themselves with a goal advantage when a bit of miscommunication from the Gateshead back line seen Consett regain possession and slot home there second.
Consett kept the pressure on as one of there shots found the net for a third time however the referee deemed the tradition to be offside.
Just as the final curtain was about to be drawn, Gateshead found there equaliser as a drop ball from outside the Consett box was struck by Black and found a way into the Consett net.
