Gateshead take on Dorking Wanderers in an effort to return to winning ways at Gateshead International Stadium on Saturday, November 11 (3pm kick off).
The Heed sit one point outside of the play-offs ahead of kick off, with a win potentially enough to move up to fifth place in the Vanarama National League.
Rob Elliot’s side remain the highest scorers in the division outside of the top two, having netted 36 league goals in 17 games so far.
Elliot is searching for his first win as interim manager, and comes up against a Dorking Wanderers side who have lost four of their last five in the National League.
Wanderers have won three of their last four away games in the league however, and have kept clean sheets in four of their last five National League fixtures on the road.
Marc White’s men could move from 16th to ninth with three points, with only four points separating Rochdale in ninth and Boreham Wood in 18th as things stand.
Supporters are advised that our Remembrance Day service will commence at 2:57pm this afternoon, and should take their seats prior to this.
Heed View
“They’re front-foot and in your face,” said Rob Elliot.
“I think after everything that’s gone on the last two or three games that they’re the perfect team to play against because it will test everything that needs to be tested.”
Opposition View
“Knowing the ins and outs of their stats, they’re pretty incredible,” said Dorking boss, Marc White.
“It’s an athletics stadium, multi-ball – which we don’t mind by the way, we only mind it when both teams need a draw, just for those that haven’t got a football brain.
“Anyone in the North East, they’re great football people, they’re a great club – Gateshead away is not the easiest of games.”
Team News
Rob Elliot is to serve a one-match suspension and will be unable to view the game from the dugout as a result.
Carl Magnay and Robbie Tinkler remain unavailable for selection due to injury.

Gateshead romped to their second 6-0 win of the season, this time over Dorking Wanderers at Gateshead International Stadium.
Billy Chadwick opened the scoring in the 19th minute after some intricate passing from Greg Olley allowed the Gateshead attacker to poke the ball into the bottom corner.
Stephen Wearne doubled the Heed’s advantage in the 27th minute before Chadwick did his best Lionel Messi impression as he dribbled past two Dorking men to score in the 32nd.
A counter-attack led by Olley finished with the Heed skipper finding the far corner with his curled effort in the 50th minute. Chadwick confirmed his hatrick in the 70th minute when he drilled the ball past Harrison Mair.
Regan Booty got the final goal of the game as his strike from outside the box found the bottom-right corner in the 88th minute.
Rob Eliott made two changes to the team that exited the FA Cup to Yeovil Town last week. Marcus Dinanga was absent from the match day squad due to picking up an injury while Louis Storey was re-introduced into the back three.
Dorking came agonisingly close in the ninth minute. George Francombe whipped in a dangerous ball from a corner which Josh Taylor managed to reach after stretching to poke the ball over the bar.
After a ten-minute back-and-forth tussle for possession, Gateshead took the lead. Olley kept the ball close to his feet before finding Chadwick with a smart pass – the Gateshead attacker poked the ball into the near-post to give the heed the advantage.
Elliott must have trained an attacking mentality into his men over the past week as the Heed were going forward with every opportunity. Wearne was added to the scoresheet when Joe Grayson stepped up to midfield to play in the winger one-on-one as the Gateshead winger converted with confidence.
Gateshead channelled their inner Joga Bonito with their third goal in the 32nd minute. McBride skipped past his man before he sent a ball through to Chadwick who danced and twisted around the Dorking defence as he fired the ball into the near post.
Dorking nearly found a goal to ignite their comeback efforts. Jimmy Muitt curled a ball into the six-yard box which a free James McShane blasted over.
Gateshead were running riot and quickly found a fourth in the second half. A counter-attack allowed the Gatsehad skipper to power forward before he whipped the ball into the far corner.
Kyran Lofthouse skipped away from two Dorking players before he made a diagonal pass to Chadwick who controlled and drilled home for his third goal of the game.
Olley played his corner towards the edge of the box which Booty stuck first-time to curl the ball into the bottom corner.
