Gateshead host their second home fixture of pre-season on Wednesday, July 24 as Middlesbrough make the journey to Tyneside (7:30pm kick off).

The Heed come into the friendly with a 100% record across the four pre-season fixtures so far, capping off two wins last week with a 7-0 victory at Blyth Spartans.

Rob Elliot’s side have scored 18 goals and conceded two across pre-season games against Hebburn Town, Sunderland, North Shields and Blyth Spartans so far, ahead of upcoming tests against Middlesbrough and Carlisle United.

Middlesbrough contested their second pre-season fixture against Bolton Wanderers last Saturday, earning a 3-0 win over The Trotters having lost 2-0 to Portuguese side Vitoria in their opening friendly.

Emmanuel Latte Lath, Sonny Finch and Delano Burgzorg’s second half goals saw Boro to their first pre-season win at Bishop Auckland’s Heritage Park last weekend.

Michael Carrick’s men travel to Gateshead for the first of two fixtures this week, with a trip to EFL League Two side Doncaster Rovers to follow this Saturday afternoon.
