Next up on the road for the Heed is a 236-mile round trip to The Mazuma Mobile Stadium as we take on Morecambe in the Enterprise National League.

Morecambe come into this game on the back of Saturday’s 5-0 defeat at Truro, which left The Shrimpers bottom of the National League on goal difference, although Morecambe have played three games less than most of the teams around them.

We’ve Met Before

Gateshead’s last meeting with Morecambe came in December 1997, with Morecambe running out 2-0 winners at Christie Park, in front of a crowd of 1,106.

Travel & Ticketing Information

The Mazuma Mobile Stadium is located around a 20 to 30 minute walk from Morecambe Town Centre, but several buses stop right outside the ground from the Town Centre.

If you’re heading down by rail, there are no direct trains from Newcastle Central Station to Morecambe, so our recommended route would be to catch a Northern service from Newcastle to Carlisle, then an Avanti West Coast service from Carlisle to Lancaster, followed by a Northern service to Morecambe.

If you’re travelling by car, from the North, lave the M6 at junction 34, exit onto Lune Valley Interchange and follow signs for Lancaster, Morecambe and Heysham. Use the 2 right lanes to turn right onto A683. Turn left towards Bay Gateway and then merge. At the roundabout, take the first exit and stay on Bay Gateway. Turn right onto A589 and at Shrimp Roundabout, take the first exit onto Westgate. The Mazuma Mobile Stadium will be on your right.

There is no parking available at the stadium, Westgate Primary School, LA4 4XF offers on site parking approximately a five minute walk to the Stadium. There is a parking charge of £5.00 per vehicle, cash only.
