Horton joined Gateshead from League Two side Chesterfield in February 2025.
The left-back arrived at Gateshead International Stadium having made 68 appearances for Chesterfield across the past three seasons, including 26 in the National League during The Spireites’ title-winning campaign last term.
The 24-year-old played 31 times in League One with Doncaster Rovers prior to his move to Chesterfield in 2022, and has racked up 51 games in the fifth tier during his time with the National League’s current champions.
