Brown arrived in January 2024 on loan from Derby County for the remainder of the 2023/24 season, and wrote his name into Gateshead history with a match-winning Isuzu FA Trophy final performance.
Then aged just 18, the striker scored eight goals and registered seven assists in 21 appearances before making his mark in the 2024 FA Trophy final at Wembley Stadium by setting up Regan Booty’s opener before scoring the equaliser in extra time to take the tie to penalties, before stepping up to score the winning spot-kick and seal Gateshead’s first ever FA Trophy.
