Jones re-joined Gateshead on loan from Port Vale in September 2024 in a deal keeping him on Tyneside until January 3, 2025.
The left-sided defender joined The Heed for the second time in his career, having previously appeared five times during a loan spell from Grimsby Town during the 2016/17 season.
Jones played 14 times in League One for Port Vale during the 2023/24 season, after making 25 appearances for The Valiants during the prior campaign, and has racked up 86 games in League Two with Port Vale, Harrogate Town, Salford City and Hartlepool United.
