Sheaf joined Gateshead from Ross County on an 18-month deal in January 2025.
The midfielder previously appeared against Gateshead during a one-season spell with Gloucester City during the 2021/22 campaign, which saw him play 19 times for the club in the National League North.
Sheaf departed the club in October 2025 by mutual consent, having made 14 appearances across all competitions for The Heed.
