Gateshead are set to face three home and three away fixtures in pre-season ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.

The Heed will begin preparations for a second consecutive season in the Vanarama National League on the back of reaching the FA Trophy final and securing a 14th-placed finish last time out, with a host of new and familiar faces to feature in pre-season.

Mike Williamson’s side open July with a trip to neighbours Hebburn Town on Tuesday, July 4 (7:30pm kick off) before hosting Championship side Sunderland at Gateshead International Stadium on Saturday, July 8 (4pm kick off) in the first home fixture of pre-season.

Gateshead will then face Premier League neighbours Newcastle United’s first team on home soil for the first time in eight years on Saturday, July 15 (12:30pm kick off), with the sell-out clash seeing player-manager Mike Williamson switch sides having played for The Magpies in 2015’s friendly fixture.

A midweek trio rounds out the schedule ahead of the National League season commencing, with trips to Dunston UTS on Friday, July 21 (7:30pm kick off) and South Shields on Friday, July 28 (7:30pm kick off) taking place either side of our final home test against League Two side Harrogate Town on Tuesday, July 25 (7:30pm kick off).

Tickets purchased online for all home fixtures are emailed out to the address used at purchase and are not posted out to supporters.

Tickets must be either printed at home and brought to Gateshead International Stadium on match day or shown via smartphone upon entry.
