We will host Carlisle United at Gateshead International Stadium on Tuesday, July 30 (7:15pm kick off) as part of our 2024/25 pre-season schedule.
Gateshead will meet The Cumbrians on home soil in the final friendly of July, with the visitors preparing for their first campaign back in EFL League Two following relegation from League One at the end of last season.
The fixture is set to be the third home test of pre-season for Rob Elliot’s side, having defeated Sunderland in the first game on Tyneside before The Heed are due to face Middlesbrough on Wednesday, July 24.
Carlisle name a number of familiar faces in their squad ahead of the new campaign, with former Gateshead duo Jon Mellish and Luke Armstrong lining up together for The Heed in 2019 while Vanarama National League North title winner Taylor Charters has become a regular fixture at Carlisle since returning from his loan on Tyneside in 2022.
