Gateshead Football Club can confirm that Rob Elliot will take charge of first-team duties on an interim basis following the departures of Mike Williamson, Ian Watson and Chris Bell.
Elliot will be assisted by Louis Storey as assistant manager and Carl Magnay as first-team coach, who will all oversee first-team matters with immediate effect.
“The job Mike, Ian and Chris have done here speaks for itself,” said Elliot.
“They’re three of the best people you could ever meet – it’s been a very emotional day.
“It’ll probably take a while to realise the impact they’ve had, not just on the football club but on Gateshead itself.
“It’s important for the players to know that things aren’t going to change from what we’ve been doing. There’s so many positives at the club right now and that’s what we’re going to focus on.
“We win and lose games our way and that will always be the case, especially as long as myself, Mags and Louis are in charge.”
Rob, Louis and Carl will continue in their roles for an unspecified period, and therefore the club is not accepting applications.
