The defender re-joins the club for a third time following two spells during the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons, making a total of 65 appearances and scoring two goals.

Tinkler spent the 2019/20 season with National League side Aldershot Town, before linking up with former Gateshead manager Steve Watson at York City last season.

“It’s been a turbulent couple of years,” said Tinkler.

“I’m over the moon to get it done nice and early so I can prepare for the season ahead.”

“It’s just a good place to be, I really enjoyed my time here last time and hopefully I’m going to have a bit more success than last time as well.”
