Ryan Wombwell has joined Vanarama National League North side Spennymoor Town for an undisclosed fee.
The defender makes the permanent switch to The Brewery Field having spent a year-and-a-half at Gateshead, originally signing a two-year deal in June 2021.
Wombwell made nine appearances in the club’s 2021/22 National League North title winning season, and also spent time on loan with Marske United and Morpeth Town.
All at the club would like to thank Ryan for his contribution during his time as a Gateshead player, and wish him the best of luck in future.
