Gateshead FC is delighted to announce that Cedwyn Scott has signed a contract extension to remain on Tyneside until the summer of 2023.
Scott has scored 15 goals and recorded four assists since joining the club in May 2021, helping Mike Williamson’s side to the top of the Vanarama National League North table.
The 23-year-old has struck 13 times in the league so far this season after beginning the campaign with an opening day brace against Kettering Town, and sits fourth in the division’s goalscoring charts as things stand.
Gateshead also lead the division in goals scored having netted 49 times in 22 league games, with Macaulay Langstaff and Paul Blackett having also reached double figures only midway through the current season.
“I’ve really enjoyed the first half of the season,” said Scott.
“It’s been going well and hopefully I can continue that in the second half as a team and on a personal level.
“To be wanted by the coaching staff makes you feel even better and hopefully helps performances.
“I want to finish the job that we’ve started, complete a project and gain success on the pitch.”
