Gateshead FC is delighted to confirm the loan signings of Middlesbrough duo Shea Connor and Rio Patterson-Powell until the end of the season.
The pair arrive from Boro for the remainder of the Enterprise National League campaign to boost Rob Elliot’s squad, with goalkeeper Connor joining following an injury to Pete Jameson while winger Patterson-Powell offers The Heed an outfield option.
Connor has appeared eight times in Premier League 2 for Middlesbrough U21 this season, and the 20-year-old spent one game on an emergency loan to National League North side Darlington in April 2025 after being included in senior squads for Boro on multiple occasions.
Patterson-Powell has made the bench twice in the Championship for Middlesbrough this season alongside playing 15 games in Premier League 2, and has turned out at Gateshead International Stadium already this season in Boro’s National League Cup fixture against Gateshead in September 2025.
