Tom Allan and Elliot Forbes have joined Vanarama National League North side Spennymoor Town on loan until December 31.
The duo head to The Brewery Field on short-term loan moves, with a recall option available to the club on both players following an initial 28-day period.
Spennymoor currently sit 13th in the National League North having won two, drawn five and lost one of their opening eight league fixtures.
“They’ve both got extremely high ceilings with their ability, and they’re both very good players,” said player-manager, Mike Williamson.
“They’ve got a huge future, hopefully with us, but beyond us that I can see.
“For me, it’s about being fair to them and getting them as many minutes as they can to get to the level where they want to be.
“Spennymoor is a fantastic opportunity for them to go out, get some minutes, enjoy playing football and come back and be a big part of our season.”
Allan has made seven appearances since joining the club in the summer and scored his first Gateshead goal in August’s 1-1 draw against Notts County at Gateshead International Stadium.
Forbes has made two appearances this season following a long-term injury which kept him out of action for the majority of the 2021/22 season, and has made 49 appearances in total since signing his first professional contract at Gateshead in the summer of 2018.
All at Gateshead FC would like to wish Tom and Elliot the best of luck during their loans at The Brewery Field.
