Gateshead FC can now provide an update on Greg Olley following today’s Vanarama National League fixture at Woking.
Olley was taken to hospital via ambulance after suffering a broken leg in the 15th minute of the game at the Laithwaite Community Stadium, and is now in a stable condition ahead of a planned surgery on Sunday morning.
All at Gateshead FC would like to thank both the medical staff in attendance for their professionalism in quickly dealing with the medical emergency concerning Greg, and those at Woking FC for their care and concern in the immediate aftermath.
We would also like to acknowledge the immense team effort from players, staff and supporters after the decision was taken for play to resume, in what has been a difficult afternoon for all associated with Gateshead FC.
