Gateshead FC is delighted to confirm the loan signing of Will Flint until the end of the 2025/26 season.
The 19-year-old – adept as both a central midfielder and a central defender – joins on temporary terms from EFL League One side Doncaster Rovers for the upcoming campaign having already faced The Heed in July’s pre-season friendly between the two sides at Cantley Park Training Ground.
Flint has made four first team appearances for Rovers, having been on the books with the club since the age of 13, and spent the 2024/25 campaign on loan with National League North side Darlington, for whom he made 39 league appearances last term.
“I’ve got time to show the gaffer and my team-mates what I can do,” said Flint.
“Playing in the pre-season game [at Doncaster], the gaffer saw how I played against Gateshead and I liked the way that Gateshead played – the philosophy of how they like to play aligned.
“I like to get on the ball, pass forward, run forward and play out. I’ve got to work my way into the team, and I’ve been given a good amount of time to get into the team and play well.
“I really enjoyed my time at Darlington and I think I improved massively from spending my time there, so hopefully I can do the same this year.”
