The player-manager led Gateshead to four wins from four games in December to move second in the Vanarama National League North table – a position The Heed hold heading into Tuesday’s game against AFC Telford United.
A 2-0 home win over York City kicked off the month’s league competition following a hard-fought Emirates FA Cup second round tie against Charlton Athletic, before a dramatic 4-3 win away to Farsley Celtic with Adam Campbell netting an injury-time winner to ensure three points.
Williamson’s side returned to home soil with a 2-0 win over league leaders Brackley Town to continue their 100% home record in league competition at that point, and followed it up with a seventh consecutive league win away to Darlington in the final game of the year.
