Gateshead FC is delighted to confirm the loan signing of Grimsby Town winger Zak Gilsenan.
The 22-year-old arrives in the North East on temporary terms until the end of the 2025/26 season, having most recently spent a brief period on loan with Enterprise National League North side Buxton, for whom he scored three goals in eight games.
“[The staff] see me as being a creative spark, and that’s what I want to be to hopefully help the team,” said Gilsenan.
“I like to get the ball forward, see passes, try to make things happen and get fans on the edge of their seats.
“I want to help the team straight away with the game on Wednesday – I just want to be positive and get results.”
Zak is eligible for immediate inclusion in the match day squad for our fixture against Braintree Town.
