Following the announcement this morning about Newcastle United Women moving to Gateshead International Stadium, Gateshead Football Club would like to welcome them to Gateshead and look forward to discussions over the next few weeks around the improvements they are looking to carry out to both the pitch and facilities.
This can only be seen as a benefit to the club, as Newcastle United are in a stronger position to improve these facilities than we ever would be. We would also like to stress to supporters that Gateshead FC have primacy of fixture at Gateshead International Stadium.
