Gateshead FC is delighted to confirm that Fenton John has signed a two-year contract extension until May 2028.
The 22-year-old pens a two-year extension following a breakthrough season across all competitions which saw him make 47 appearances for The Heed – the most of any player during the 2025/26 season.
John’s outstanding performances in midfield throughout the campaign earned him two accolades at the club’s End of Season Awards evening, as he was named both the Young Player of the Season and Supporters’ Player of the Season.
The midfielder first joined the club in July 2024 and saw first-team opportunities limited during the 2024/25 season, grasping the opportunity to develop out on loan with temporary spells at Morpeth Town and Stockton Town before returning to cement his place as a first-team regular at Gateshead last season.
