Gateshead Football Club is delighted to confirm that Ben Clark has signed a long-term deal to remain with the club.
Clarky will continue as a member of the club’s first-team coaching staff moving forward, having made a huge impact in last season’s remarkable feat of achieving National League survival against all odds.
The club legend officially returned to Gateshead’s first-team coaching setup in March 2026 – coinciding with The Heed’s incredible run of form which saw them stay up after being cut 11 points adrift of safety in mid-February.
Now, Clark has committed his future to the club by penning a long-term deal which will see him continue as a first-team coach under the future management structure.
“This club means a lot to me – I can’t wait to embrace the new season,” said Clark.
“I’ve really enjoyed working with the players and developing them on the training pitch day-to-day, and then seeing the lads’ commitment for the club on match days.
“Since coming back into the first-team setup, I’ve seen and experienced the feel-good factor around the club and within the community, and I’m excited to be part of that again next season.”
