Gateshead FC is delighted to confirm that Lucas Lowery has signed a one-year contract extension with the club.
The Gateshead FC Academy graduate has signed a new deal which will keep him at Gateshead until the summer of 2027, after signing his first professional contract with the club in July 2025.
Lowery made his first senior appearance for The Heed in the fourth round of the Isuzu FA Trophy in January 2024, coming on as 76th minute substitute in a home tie against Weston-super-Mare on Gateshead’s road to winning the competition at Wembley Stadium four months later. He later scored his first professional goal in December 2024, netting The Heed’s fourth in an 8-1 win at home to Farsley Celtic in the FA Trophy third round having been brought on as a half time substitute.
Last season, the 19-year-old made 10 senior appearances across all competitions for Gateshead in addition to gaining senior experience with loan spells at Newton Aycliffe, Hebburn Town and Blyth Town across the 2025/26 season.
