Gateshead FC is delighted to confirm the signing of Aaron Martin.
The 6ft forward has signed a two-year deal on Tyneside following his release from League Two side Harrogate Town.
Martin earned a move to Harrogate in March 2020 after an impressive season in the Vanarama National League North with Guiseley which saw him score 16 goals in 20 games.
His debut season in the Football League returned six goals and six assists in 37 appearances for The Sulphurites as they finished 17th following promotion from the National League.
The Sheffield-born striker spent a brief period on loan with Halifax Town towards the end of the 2021/22 season, scoring one goal in four appearances.
“I think the dynamics of the team will fit me very well with everyone pressing,” said Martin.
“I’m big and aggressive, I put myself about and I’ll hopefully score a few goals along the way – [the coaching staff] just want me to be myself and play how I normally do.”
