Gateshead FC is delighted to confirm the loan signing of Middlesbrough midfielder Brayden Johnson until the end of the 2024/25 season.
The 18-year-old arrives on Tyneside having enjoyed a breakthrough campaign so far, appearing 30 times for high-flying Vanarama National League South side Eastbourne Borough before signing for Boro in January.
The central midfielder has since made six appearances in the Premier League 2 for Middlesbrough’s U21 side, and joins Carl Magnay’s squad ahead of the final seven games of the regular Vanarama National League season.
“It’s been a bit of a crazy season for me, but I’m excited to be here and add to the good season that I’ve had already,” said Johnson.
“It’s that time of the season where results are what matters, and I’m willing to put everything out for this club and do everything to get results.
“I’m excited to get started, push on and put on my best performances for this club.”
Welcome to Gateshead, Brayden!
