Callum Whelan has joined EFL League Two side Carlisle United for an undisclosed fee.
The midfielder departs having spent just under two years as a Gateshead player, originally joining on loan from Solihull Moors in February 2023 before penning a permanent deal that summer.
Whelan made 75 appearances during his time on Tyneside, most notably starting in our 2024 Isuzu FA Trophy final win at Wembley Stadium in May 2024, and scored six goals while recording three assists during the current campaign.
