We are delighted to confirm that Carl Magnay has agreed a one-year contract extension.
The defender is set to remain with the club for the 2023/24 season after playing his part in a memorable 2022/23 campaign, which saw Magnay become the first player to appear for Gateshead twice at Wembley Stadium.
Magnay also passed a century of Gateshead appearances last season after playing 27 times in all competitions, taking him to 119 games in total for the club ahead of the new campaign.
“Mags is a fantastic professional,” said player-manager, Mike Williamson.
“He is someone who brings a huge amount of value to the group, and we’re thoroughly pleased to have him back for the upcoming season.”
