Gateshead FC is delighted to confirm the signing of Connor Malley on loan from Middlesbrough until the end of the 2021/22 season.
The midfielder arrives from Boro having progressed through the club’s under-18 and under-23 sides before going on to make four first team appearances, including a Man of the Match performance on his debut against Rotherham United in April 2021.
The 21-year-old also spent time out on loan with Ayr United in January 2020, and joined EFL League Two side Carlisle United for six months at the beginning of the 2020/21 season where he went on to appear five times.
“I’m looking forward to playing first team football again and being in that environment,” said Malley.
“I’m looking forward to coming in, getting to know the group as a whole and working towards what we’re trying to achieve this season, which is promotion.”
Malley is eligible for inclusion in the squad for today’s fixture against Kidderminster Harriers.
